If you don’t want Plaid to remember your information for faster future connections, you can do so via Plaid Portal:
- Go to Plaid Portal: Visit my.plaid.com and sign in (or create an account with the same phone/email you used with Plaid).
-
On the Overview tab, under Connections, you will see Plaid Accounts: Locate the Financial Accounts toggle switch
- If you see the toggle switch “on”, select it to toggle it off.
-
A screen will appear asking if you want to unenroll your financial accounts. Select the black Confirm button to confirm the removal.
Don't have a Plaid Portal account associated with your old returning user profile/phone number?
Alternatively, you can have Plaid Support remove your returning user experience account. To request this:
- Go to our Privacy Request Form page.
- On the Privacy Request Form page, fill out your first and last name (optional), with your email address, phone number, and location.
- Select the “Opt-out of Plaid’s faster return user experience”
- If you choose to, you can list any apps or services you have connected to via Plaid.
- Finally, provide any additional details you may have with your request, and then select the Submit button.
What happens next:
- Plaid removes your returning user profile so it is no longer used for faster connections.
- You can still use Plaid in apps, but you may need to complete the full connection flow each time.
Please note that this action will not remove any connections you may
have with us. If you are looking to remove any connections or financial
data that you’ve previously shared via Plaid, please fill out our
Privacy Request Form
for data deletion options.
