How can I use my phone number to connect my account in the future?

When you’re using Plaid Link, you can choose to be remembered by Plaid to receive a more streamlined experience when connecting your account from a supported institution in the future. 

Here’s how it works:

1. As part of the experience of connecting your account, you will see the option to input your phone number to connect faster next time. If you prefer not to, simply click on “Continue as guest”.
2. If you choose to input your phone number, you’ll need to verify it using a one-time passcode sent to your device. In some instances, Plaid will be able to verify your phone number using your mobile network provider like Verizon.
3. After your phone number is verified, you’ll proceed with selecting your financial institution and connecting your account. 
4. The next time you come to another Plaid powered app, you will need to pass security checks in order to receive a streamlined linking experience for your previously connected account. This streamlined experience is not available for all institutions.

In the future, if you change your phone number or device, you will need to repeat steps 1-3 in order to be remembered by Plaid.
