After you set up your Plaid Portal account, you may see many of the apps connected to your financial accounts, but not all of them. This may be because not all types of Plaid-powered connections are currently supported or discoverable in Portal. Additionally, some connections might not appear depending on how they were created or which financial institution you use.
How to see as many connections as possible
- Verify your matched connections under the Overview tab.
- Add any missing accounts that you’ve linked with Plaid but don’t see listed.
- If something still seems missing, select Not seeing everything? from your connections list to check for more options.
App connections not currently shown in Plaid Portal
1) Connections made through manual microdeposits
If you connect an app by manually entering your account and routing numbers — or by verifying small test deposits — Plaid Portal won’t be able to display those connections.

2) Connections from unsupported financial institutions
Some banks and credit unions don’t yet support displaying app connections through Plaid Portal. If you don’t see a connection listed, you may be able to manage access directly through your financial institution’s online banking portal.
3) Connections using Plaid products in beta
If an app uses a Plaid product that’s currently in beta, it may not appear in Plaid Portal. Even so, all Plaid beta products follow the same strong security and privacy standards as every other Plaid product.
4) Connections to Plaid Check Consumer Report
Connections related to the Plaid Check Consumer Report aren’t currently shown in Plaid Portal. If you’ve shared this report and want more information, learn how to get help here.
Why do I see multiple connections for the same financial institution?
You might see the same account listed twice if it was added through more than one connection method. This can happen when your bank moves from a traditional login to a newer OAuth connection.
- Go ahead and complete the reconnection flow if you’re prompted (steps 4 - 6 outlined here).
- Both versions may appear temporarily under your Accounts tab. This is expected behavior as financial institutions update their systems.
Key takeaway
Plaid Portal helps you see and manage many of the apps connected to your financial accounts. Some connections may not appear because of how they were created or which institution they’re tied to. If you’re unsure why a connection is missing, try verifying your matched connections, adding missing accounts, or contacting your financial institution for help.
