Matched connections are financial accounts and app connections that we believe belong to you. We surface these connections if we’re able to match the phone number and/or email address you provided when you created your Plaid Portal account to existing data in our systems.
Your phone number and email address may not surface all of the financial accounts and apps that you’ve connected using Plaid, so matched connections are not necessarily comprehensive. For example, the financial account may not associate that phone number or email address with you, or if they do, it’s possible Plaid hasn’t accessed it. You may want to add additional financial accounts that you’ve connected using Plaid to try and see a more complete view of your connections.
You can verify a matched connection in order to view and manage it from your Plaid Portal account, or you can disconnect the matched connection. Disconnecting will prevent the app from accessing any additional data via this connection going forward but will not delete financial account information.
